2008 Independent Games Festival Entrants Announced

The IGF Website today officially announced Axiom Overdrive as one of the entrants in the 2008 Independent Games Festival (IGF). In addition, Axiom Overdrive was specifically mentioned in a Gamasutra article about the IGF entries.
The 2008 Independent Games Festival Entrants were announced today. In total a record 173 games were entries for next year's festival including Axiom Overdrive. Several media outlets, including Gamasutra, covered the event with Gamasutra specifically mentioning Axiom:Overdrive and quoting from the short description found on the IGF website.
The Gamasutra article also mentioned Wik: Fable of Souls, a labor of love that the Reflexive team is very proud of. Wik won 3 IGF awards in 2005 including the award for Downloadable Game of the Year. Later, after being redesigned for the Xbox 360, the new XBLA version of Wik won the 2006 Downloadable Game of the Year award from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences.

Axiom: Overdrive...what kind of game is it? If it's anything like Ricochet Infinity, it deserves an award...I am sure Reflexive has done their job....they always do.
